Ways We Might Work Together
There are three broad ways I work with the breath. They aren't separate things you need to choose when booking, but possibilities we can explore together.
Anáil Bheo - The Living Breath
Understanding your everyday breath
How we breathe is influenced by our habits, posture, movement, emotions and the demands of daily life.
Anáil Bheo is about getting to know your own breathing and understanding the relationship between your breath, body and nervous system.
We might explore your breathing patterns, learn practical techniques, or develop simple practices that support more comfortable and efficient breathing.
This approach can be particularly valuable if you're experiencing breathing difficulties, looking for support with stress or anxiety, or simply curious about how your everyday breathing affects your wellbeing.
We begin with understanding, rather than trying to correct something before we've explored it.
Anáil Scíthe - The Breath of Rest
Space to settle, soften and rest
Sometimes what we need most is time away from demands, expectations and the feeling that we should always be doing something.
Anáil Scíthe is a gentler, restorative breathwork experience.
We might use soft breathing practices, guided relaxation, body awareness, imagery, sound or stillness, allowing the body and breath to find their own rhythm.
There is nothing to achieve and no particular experience you need to have.
A little space to be, rather than do.
Anáil an Iontais - The Breath of Wonder
Curiosity, discovery and deeper exploration
Breathwork can also become a doorway into the imagination, emotions, unconscious patterns and the deeper questions we carry.
Anáil an Iontais offers more immersive, individual breathwork journeys.
These experiences may include Conscious Connected Breathwork, other breath sequences, music, imagery, silence and guided inner exploration.
Some journeys draw on Irish mythology and storytelling, allowing figures such as the Cailleach or stories such as the Children of Lir to offer a landscape for our own exploration.
Others begin with a particular question, experience or curiosity that you bring.
There may be emotion, insight, unexpected discoveries or simply a different way of experiencing yourself.
The intention isn't to force a release or chase a dramatic breakthrough, but to make space for whatever the journey brings.
Some people choose a single journey. Others continue over a series of sessions, allowing their exploration to deepen and develop.
A space for wonder, without needing to know where the journey will lead.
